Product

FOPE’s jewels are manufactured in Vicenza according to scrupulously planned and controlled procedures. The safety and quality of each piece are guaranteed by specific choices that concern the entire production process: from engineering to sample testing, each phase is managed in-house. The low number of repairs, all handled in-house, is further proof of FOPE’s product reliability. As for the sourcing of raw materials, all the gold that FOPE uses is subject to London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) certification and the diamonds, supplied by RJC-certified members, come from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflicts in the countries of origin.

Environment

The building that houses the FOPE factory is energy class A and is located in the heart of a residential area of Vicenza, testifying to the company’s integration with the territory and the minimal environmental impact of production. No noise or odours are emitted, while direct emissions are certified (UNI EN ISO 14064-1) and residual CO2 emissions are offset by planting trees with Treedom. The company is powered by electricity from renewable sources and also self-produces energy thanks to solar panels installed on the roof of the premises. As far as waste is concerned, FOPE’s focus on the issue involves both staff, through responsible management, and customers who are given sustainable boxes to store their new jewellery.

Staff

Staff welfare is a crucial issue that is reflected in the high retention of FOPE SpA and its subsidiaries. Thanks to the group’s progressive growth, the workforce keeps expanding constantly. As far as health and safety are concerned, in addition to having set up a company welfare system, a particularly positive note concerns safety: for more than ten years, the number of workplace accidents in the factory has been zero.

Responsible Jewellery Council

FOPE has joined the Responsible Jewellery Council, the international non-profit organisation that sets ethical standards for the entire jewellery supply chain. It has been a certified member since 2014 and renewed its certification for the third time in autumn 2021, guaranteeing the high quality of its jewellery and the virtuous management of all processes.

Carbon Neutrality

In the last few years, FOPE has chosen to work with international partners who have significantly reduced their CO2 emissions, demonstrating that they too are environmentally and socially aware.

Governance

The concept of entrepreneurial responsibility represents a fundamental value shared by every generation of the owning family that has been at the helm of the company. The listing of FOPE on the Stock Exchange (Euronext Growth Milan) in 2016 thus represented the formalisation of a trend towards responsible and transparent business management already present in the company.
In the meantime, it is worth highlighting the adoption of the Italian Legislative Decree 231/2021 organisational model and the introduction of the Sustainability Report, which is prepared annually in line with GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards guidelines, the most authoritative and widespread standard in the field of non-financial disclosure. Finally, the Code of Ethics that underlies all the activities of FOPE and its subsidiaries has been drawn up and made available to the public through the corporate website.
